Suminagashi Origami Pieces
In constructing these bowls I have used paper porcelain clay and paper folding techniques to mimic the traditional Japanese art of Origami.
The laminated marbled clay on the inside of the bowls has been inspired by Suminagashi the ancient Japanese technique of decorating paper with inks which is believed to be the oldest form of marbling.
